I had a friend stop by the other day and she asked me where I got my wreath for the front door. She absolutely adored the Santa ornaments on it! She could not believe that I had made it myself, and then she said she would pay me to make her one. Of course I said I would, and that she didn’t need to pay me, I had extra materials on hand. She said “okay, how much do I owe you, at least for the materials? Like 20-30 dollars?” I laughed! This wreath cost me only about 5$ to make, about 10$ if I didn’t already have the wreath on hand. She couldn’t believe it!
You could make a beautiful wreath in as easy as 10-15 minutes, for under 10$ too! It is so simple, and I just love how cute my wreath turned out!
Here’s what you’ll need:
• A wreath, size is up to you
• Hot glue gun
• Wreath hanger or use a bow & tie to a nail
• Pipe Cleaners or Green wire
For the decorations, you can really use whatever you want, I didn’t end up using the berries because there was already so much going on but the possibilities are endless. It’s your wreath, decorate it however you want!
Personally I like to visualize where I want everything on the wreath before I start glueing, just in case I need to rearrange anything before it’s permanent.
Once you have it the way you like, start glueing things down. I actually didn’t even end up using the hot glue gun since I didn’t use the berries or any flowers.
To attach all the decor, I used the pipe cleaners since I could not find any green wire at the dollar store. I cut them into smaller pieces and strung them through the tops of the ornaments and the bells. To attach them to the wreath, I just had to twist them to the wreath itself. It worked out great!
These are so quick and easy, you could make them for the entire family as gifts in just one evening! I’ve already made a few for my cousins, and they love them!
If you end up making one yourself, post pictures below, I would love to see what you come up with!
